Sunny St. George or wait.....sunny?

We made the long trek down to supposedly sunny St. George and found that it wasn't what we had planned for. It was cold and windy and we did not see the sun hardly at all. We wanted to go swimming and we did as soon as we got down there, but that was the first and only time the entire trip. What a disappointment! I needed some color on my pastie white face and I think I came back even whiter than before! Well the whole trip wasn't all a bust we got some good shopping in and we ate out at some great places and we got to just hang with the girls. All the boys were either working or gone turkey hunting. Thanks for all the help with the girls everyone. Jenny and Jeano helped me pack them around and feed them which was a great help. Ryder helped entertain them and Kellie and Kenzie were always willing to pack them around for me. It was nice to always have some help! Well here are some pics of the trip.

Just happy to be out of their car seats at last!

Here they are playing on the bed again!

Back in the car seats! FUN!

Oh, here they are on the bed playing again! Such variety in the pictures! I love the girls crazy morning hair though! I didn't take any pictures of shopping or swimming I was so lame. By the way this week St. George is in the 80's...typical Carlton luck!

Easter Dresses

My little beauties looked pretty spiffy before church on a gorgeous Easter Sunday morning. I never thought I would like to dress my girls up, but it was so fun and they are so stink'in cute! Miah Jean

They werent' so sure about their Easter baskets. We went to Great Grandma Carlton's for Easter dinner and it was great! Thanks for the great dinner Grandma! I am so grateful for such good family all around me! I am also grateful for what we celebrate on Easter. The resurrection of my Savior! I love my Savior Jesus Christ so much and know that he lives and loves all of us and if we let him in our lives he will bless us again and again! I would not be able to go a day without Him! I know he is there watching out for me always!
Happy Easter!

It is kind of shacky sorry.

Happy Birthday Kayleb!

Well Sunday was Kayleb's birthday! Happy Birthday to the best husband and friend a girl could ask for! We had the party on Saturday earlier in the day then he went to dinner and the Jazz game with some work people. The girls and I just have to say what a great dad he is! We love him so much and look forward to time spent with him. We are so lucky to have him! Happy Birthday Daddy! These are some pics from the party. I won't tell you how old he is but by the looks of that fire you can tell he is getting pretty old! Love Ya Kayleb! I know Grandpa Great said not to put this picture on the blog, so I hope he isn't mad. I think it is a great one. Mazie was kind of being a stinker (she was getting tired from all the fun), but we love you Grandpa!

Just Living

It has been a while I know so I decided to put up some new pics and let you in on what has been going on in our world lately. To tell the truth not a whole lot of anything. The girls are 8 months old now and I can't hardly believe it. No they are not crawling. At first I was worried that we were behind or something, but I have decided to stop worrying and count my blessings that I am not chasing two little monsters around and keeping them away from the stairs and everything else! The girls are getting so heavy to lift around in their car seats, but it is the easiest way to carry them. Kayleb's job is going pretty good, depending on the day and I have just been trying to loose a few pounds trying to get back into running. Thank goodness for Jenny in helping me get motivated and volunteering to run a 5k with me coming up in April. Hopefully I am ready by then. I am itching for warm weather like crazy! I am so excited to be going for a trip down south with the girls for a few days. Even though we have to take the kids it will still be a great getaway! The guys are going turkey hunting so the ladies decided we needed a trip. The Carlton family has been busy with Jeano's birthday, being called as Relief Society Pres. for Jeano, Todd waiting for his call to come, Lane snapping his achilles tendon, and of course March Madness. Never a dull moment oh yeah and Lance going on a cruise to Mexico and getting ready to move for the summer to Washington state. This summer will be interesting with both of my little brothers leaving. Todd's call should be coming soon. Maybe next week and I am so excited and proud of him. He is a great brother. Lance is trying to make some money so he will be working in Washington and I will miss him too! Crazy summer! Can't wait for warm weather! Here is some pics from the last month.

Girls Rule! These are some hats that we got from Stan and his family. Stan works with Kayleb and I kept trying these hats on them and now they finally fit. Especially Miah who has a rather large head.

The Girls got a new ride and we tested it out when we went to the farm last week with Jenny and Ryder. It was fun and the girls had their first pony ride and loved it. There levis restricted them in straddling the pony but thankfully Jenny could walk with Miah and I walked with Mazie. Ryder did an awesome job riding all by himself and saying Yeehaa Cowboy! It was a fun outing.

Miah has been a stinker lately! She has been teething some more...I think?? I wish she could tell me exactly what has been bothering her and why she wakes up so much at night. We have tryed the teething tablets and they seem to work okay, but I just don't know what to do with her sometimes. Maybe she is just showing me she is a woman and is moody moody moody. Anyway this pic caught my favorite side of her. Miah and Mazie have kind of swapped roles now Miah is the stinker and Mazie is the sweet one. I swear as soon as you think you have it down they change it up so you don't get too comfortable.

Mazie has learned to wave and it is the cutest thing. She also is starting to say bye bye when she does it. Both Miah and Mazie said "DaDa" first despite my coaching to say mom, but Mazie started to say "bob bob" and then that turns in to mom. Hey I will take it! I would like to know who this Bob person is though. Anyway she is just a sweetheart and not to mention a great sleeper at night!

This is Miah and Mazie on the day they turned 8 months old. They are getting harder to get good photos of because if one is looking the other one isn't. This is rare one where they are both looking. I think each day there eyes get more blue. They have their dad's pretty blue eyes. Such cute little stinkers!

I forgot to post a 7 month old pic. It just happened to be on Valentine's Day. They where Dad's Sweethearts that day and always.

Teething! What a Joy!

Well this past little while my girls have just been so whiny and come to find out they are teething. I have to say I am not a fan of this stage so far. Miah is the only one who has the teeth. She has two on the bottom. She doesn't like to show them and gets annoyed with me when I try to look. Mazie has no real sign of them yet, but I think they will be coming soon. Also this past week I have finally separated the girls and put them in separate cribs. I think I took it the hardest. I was sick of them clawing at each other and crying when they got gouged in the eye so I separated them. I did fine until I was on my way out of the room and looked back before I closed the door and then it hit me. So far they are sleeping pretty good and I don't have to break up any little cat fights. Anyway that is what has been happening around here. I hope you are all doing well! Here are some random pics. Just kick'in it with my sis!

If you look close you can spot the teeth. At least one of them.

Just a cute pic of Miss Mazie!

Miah's hair is long enough on top to have some pig tails. She looks so cute! I am not very good doing it, but I am getting better.

Cute Smile!

Break Through!

Miah rolled over today with no help! All the practice has paid off. She now can roll from her tummy to her back! Yeah!! Hear is some footage of both of them rolling over!

WOW! 6 Months!

I cannot believe my babies are growing up so fast! This time Mazie topped the scale at 6lbs. 3oz. and Miah came in a close second at 5lbs. 14oz. Mazie is 1/2inch taller but this is the first time she has been on top in the weight. I was not surprised because Miah doesn't finish her food like Mazie does. They are getting so much personality and it is so fun! Cute little stinkers!! These are just some pics taken in the past weeks of my two little beauties!

Look'in so cute in their Sunday best. This was at Grandma Greenwood's funeral and she would have loved her Gerrs all dressed up. Do I spot some kankles down there? Maybe it is just the tights.

Miah hasn't quite got the rolling over thing yet. She has a hard time with her arms and where they need to be. She is pretty funny because she gets so frustrated and just face plants in the blanket. I try to teach her but it hasn't helped yet. Hopefully she will get it soon.Mazie is the master at rolling over and doesn't stay on her tummy long. Such a cute smile! Look at those dimples!

This is a picture of the victim and the culprit. If you look close you will notice Mazie has two big scratches on her cheek from the innocent looking one to her left. I just may have to seperate them soon and it will break my heart to put them in seperate beds. Be Nice Girls! I am afraid this is only a glimpse of what is to come.

In Loving Memory

This week Grandma Joy has returned home. Even though she lived a good long life it is never easy to say goodbye. Grandma was not only there to spoil us grandkids, but she was a friend and a safe haven for me and I am sure many of my family. She always said,"this to shall pass" and I try to remember it will. I loved her so much and will always be grateful that I was able to spend so much time with her. All of the sleep overs, shopping trips, soccer games, birthdays, and sunday visits will be in my memory forever. You were always welcome in her home no matter what you were wearing, if you had mud on your shoes, or whatever the case may be. No matter how big of a mess you made she never cared she was just happy you were there. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles and alway supported family in all we did. I am grateful she was here to see Miah and Mazie born. Being a twin herself she was so excited and always said how much fun she had being a twin and how much fun they would have. I loved to hear her stories and loved talking to her about anything. She always understood. I love her and will miss her deeply. I Love You Grandma!
Christmas 2003. She always looked good in red!Grandma and Ryder

Tazzie. What a good boy!

Taz, who was the family dog for 13 years has passed away. He was a good old boy and I have a lot of memories with him. He was old and it was time. He hated the winters and it is better that he is now in a warm place. I remember getting him as a puppy and being so excited to have a dog! He would always want to hold your hand when you were petting him. He was scarred of lightning and hot air balloons. Especially the AF Bank pig balloon. He always had lots of energy and loved to be right in the middle of everything. Good Boy!
Taz loved his swimming pool that mom would get him every summer to keep cool. He also loved to chew it to bits, but on those hot summer days he just layed in it to cool off.
