1st Camping Trip

Yes we had our first camping trip! We went down to Escalante for our annual 24th of July trip. It was lots of fun. Loads of work, but it was all worth it! The weather was perfect and the fishing was good and the company was great! The girls did better than I thought. It took them a few days to get used to the sleeping arrangements and sharing a bed again, but all in all they did great. The girls are at that stage where they can't get around really on their own, but do not want to just be held, so we took the wagon that they got from their bday down and that was the most valuable thing we took! I would have even traded toilet paper for it. We put so many miles on that wagon, our camp ground was a dust bowl from all the laps we made around it. Mid week Teisha my cousin came down with her family and she was soooo helpful and pulled, pushed, and played with the girls whenever she could. She was a big help and I was very grateful she was willing to give me a break! Thanks Teish! My mom and dad had a bear sighting, at least so they say. The look that was on my mom's face assured me that she was telling the truth. I didn't catch the biggest fish this year, but I only got to fish a few times. Better luck next year! Our trailer worked good and Escalante was beautiful. I love it down there and this year it was so green and refreshing. I love breathing the mountain air and just relaxing outside and listening to the wind in the trees and the sound of the creek. I didn't get to hear as much of it as usual with the girls, but it was relaxing. The stars are so amazing when you get away from the city it is almost too much to take in. It was good to get home to all the things that make my life easier with twins, but it was tons of fun spending a whole week together as a family!

This is just a pit stop on our trip down. The girls got to sit up front and play with the radios and drive the truck and stay busy while Dad gases the truck up for the final stretch in our journey.

Putting up some shade. It was a team effort. We had camp set up in no time really and in no time the girls had already unpacked every single one of the toys we brought. The trailer floor was always covered with them. Mazie and Grandma walking around checking out the new surroundings. This was the first of many wagon rides!Kayleb made them a giant crib out of the table bed. It worked great and the girls actually were a comfort to each other at night. I was nervous how they would do in the same bed, but it all worked out. There was however lots of playing instead of napping, but at night it was good.We had to modify the trailer in a few ways to baby proof it. The crib was one and the door was another. Kayleb put up plexie glass and put a latch so the girls wouldn't fall out the door and on their face. They tested it out and made sure it held and it did. Great Job Dad!This is how one of our walks ended and I was grateful that it did. They look so sweet when they are asleep!Grandpa and Miah took a ride on the wheeler. Mazie didn't really like it and Miah really wasn't sure, but tried it a few times. She is more of the thrill seeker than Maze is.We made a trip to Pine Lake to do some fishing and to go for a ride. The fishing was a little disappointing, but it was a change. I had to snap a pic of Kayleb feeding the girls because that just never happens. It didn't last long I ended up feeding them right after I took the picture. I can't even get a break. Kayleb is too much of a softy and lets the girls push him around and so they always end up in a mess. Oh well at least he tried.
Here is Teisha my fabulous cousin that was so gracious and pulled the girls around endlessly in the wagon. She is such a cutie! Thanks again Teish!
Here are the three stooges! These three by the end of Friday were beyond filthy. I wish I would have thought and snapped a pic before their bath that night. They main thing is they had fun!
We of course went to the parade down in town and got loaded up on candy, frisbees, balls, otterpops, and all kinds of stuff. The parade is always so much fun to watch. Crazy people!

Mazie decided to go out into the road and get some candy of her own. She had fun just being free and walking around. The firetrucks scared her though so she came running back when they came. She is getting so big. Cute little stinker!

Miah loves to clap and dance to the Lions Club band. Cute little stinker too!
This was on the way home. They were playing peek-a-boo with me using their blankets and I could never get a pic of them doing it at the same time. Front facing car seats are a blessing! Thanks to all who made the trip so much fun!!

Two One Year Olds!

I can't believe it! My baby girls are ONE!!! I documented there whole day. I think they knew it was a special day and they wanted special birthday girl treatment. We had such a fun day! Grandma came over and helped frost cupcakes and get last minute party stuff done. Thanks Grandma Jeano!! It was so fun to have all the family join us on such a special milestone in Miah and Mazie's life. I know I couldn't have made it this far without help from all of them! So thanks to all that have helped me in anyway, I will never forget you!!! Enjoy the Birthday Pics!Good Morning Precious Gerrs!! Princess Mazie and Miah wore their tieras the whole night and didn't take them off or bug them at all. Mazie actually cried when I took hers off to get into her pjs that night. Little drama queens!
Daddy was helping them out with their gifts, but he was just opening them and setting them aside while the girls sat and watched him so I had to step in and help so that they could get a chance to open their own presents. They of course just wanted the paper and bows. I think everything they got makes noise! AHHHH!!
Grandma and Grandpa Walters gave them two things to ride on. A rocking horse and a wagon. The rocking horse was not liked much by the little cowgirls. Maybe it will have to grow on them. They can see it in the house when they eat and they point and talk to it, so we talk about it and what is says and try to make them feel good about it. I got the same reaction when I tryed it again. It may take a while to warm up to the horsey.

The cakes I made them was cuter in my mind then they turned out. They were good though and the girls got messy, but not bad. Miah got into a little more than Mazie, but they were cute!

This is how the birthday girls ended their party. A ride in their chariot. They love the wagon and all the other toys they got. They can stay busy for a lot longer now. The party was fun and I am so glad to all that came and am grateful for your generosity! Thanks!
Happy 1st Birthday Miah and Mazie!

One Walking!!!

Mazie has taken her first steps and is now getting the hang of it. Oh No! I am in some trouble now! I got some footage of her walking tonight finally! I have been trying all day and the only time she would do it was when I didn't have my camera handy. Miah has just learned to pull herself to stand by things. She can balance and stand on her own, but it will be a little while until she can walk on her own. Don't mind their hair I know they have wings from their pig tails.

The Crazy Month of June

I can't believe that June has come and now is gone. We have been so busy that the month has just flown by. We have celebrated birthdays, father's day. We have had BBQs, and gone to parades and activities and just lived our day to day life. I have lots of pics to show you all the fun we have had during this month of June. Thanks to all those that came and helped with the BBQ! It was so much fun and I am so glad we had a great turn out. It was great to visit with you all! Enjoy the pics!We started the month off with the girls first haircut. Aunt Jenny took good care of them and just gave them a trim. They were very good and didn't cry or fuss. Miah as you can see was having a great time! Too Cute! We also started the month off with a new addition on the Walters side. We welcomed sweet little Lyndsie into the world at 6lb and I think 3 or 6 ounces. She is a doll!!
My girls are 11 months old almost a whole year. WOW! Where did the time go? They are so much fun and they change daily. I don't think I could love them more. I enjoy them everyday and try not to get frustrated and just laugh at the times when I am about to go crazy. I love them so much and just can't believe that they will be one. I think I will always think of them as my baby girls. The girls got to have a good visit with Grandpa Great on Father's Day. Look at those somber faces. We sure love you Grandpa Great!!I was so busy visiting and making sure all was well at the BBQ I forgot to get my camera out. So here is the only picture I got and this was after everyone had gone. Yes Lacey is missing. It was so fun to get together and laugh and catch up on what everyone is up to. Thanks everyone for coming! It was fun!Stock Parade here we come. The girls loved the horses and just being outside. Miah enjoyed the parade on Uncle Lane's lap and Mazie was content to stay in her stroller and watch all of the beautiful horses walk by. We celebrated both Grandpa Carlton and Grandpa Walters Birthdays this month. I forgot my camera on Grandpa Walters birthday, but had it on hand for my dad's birthday cuz we celebrated it after the stock parade. Happy Birthday Grandpa's!! We Love You!!My cousin Trevor came home from his mission and we went to the airport to welcome him home. The girls met him for the first time. That is him at the top of the escalator, the tall skinny one. I forgot how tall he is. Way to go Trev on serving a great mission! This is us at the miniature float parade. The girls loved watching all the kids and loved the bands when they were playing. Miah was dancing to the music. Miah got Uncle Lane to hold her again during the parade. Mazie sat by me and I got this adorable picture of her. It is my favorite!!After the 5k on Saturday morning, thanks to Ashlee and Alicia for running with me! Grandpa Carlton took us to breakfast in the park and then we all went to the parade. It was hot and long and the girls didn't enjoy this one as much. They were troopers though and so was daddy. Kayleb hates parades, but it is amazing what you can get him to do for his girls. He is a sucker for those cute faces! Mazie is becoming quite the daddies girl. When she whines or wants something she always calls for her dad. Miah is a mommies girl and I am bad and just let her whine. I do give in sometimes. Cute little stinkers! OH yeah and by the way they are both crawling now so it is a nightmare to get them both bathed, dressed, and hair done in the mornings. I call it the Miah and Mazie round-up. I am in a lather and totally exhausted when I walk out of their room when I am done. Gotta love it!Grandma took us to the park for pony rides and to see the animals. The girls were tired and angry and didn't like the pony much. Miah freaked when a goat got in her face and so we hung out in the shade and watched Ryder ride the train and ponies. He was standing in line for the train and had his money and kept telling everyone to look at his fifty dollars. He is a cutie! Thanks Grandma for taking us to the park!

Good Luck Toddie!!

My baby bro Todd is leaving tomorrow to the MTC to start his two year journey in the service of the Lord. I can't believe that it is finally here. It never seemed like it would come and now all I can say is Good Luck Toddie! Thank you for being an example to me and for being the only one who would tickle my arm. We will miss you so much, but you will always be in our thoughts and prayers. We are so proud of you and the decisions that you have made. Thanks for always being willing to help me when I needed ya and I know you will be a great missionary! Good Luck learning your language, for me I think that would be the hardest part. Just remember Miah and Mazie love you and Kayleb and I do too!! Work hard and WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
