Yes we had our first camping trip! We went down to Escalante for our annual 24th of July trip. It was lots of fun. Loads of work, but it was all worth it! The weather was perfect and the fishing was good and the company was great! The girls did better than I thought. It took them a few days to get used to the sleeping arrangements and sharing a bed again, but all in all they did great. The girls are at that stage where they can't get around really on their own, but do not want to just be held, so we took the wagon that they got from their bday down and that was the most valuable thing we took! I would have even traded toilet paper for it. We put so many miles on that wagon, our camp ground was a dust bowl from all the laps we made around it. Mid week Teisha my cousin came down with her family and she was soooo helpful and pulled, pushed, and played with the girls whenever she could. She was a big help and I was very grateful she was willing to give me a break! Thanks Teish! My mom and dad had a bear sighting, at least so they say. The look that was on my mom's face assured me that she was telling the truth. I didn't catch the biggest fish this year, but I only got to fish a few times. Better luck next year! Our trailer worked good and Escalante was beautiful. I love it down there and this year it was so green and refreshing. I love breathing the mountain air and just relaxing outside and listening to the wind in the trees and the sound of the creek. I didn't get to hear as much of it as usual with the girls, but it was relaxing. The stars are so amazing when you get away from the city it is almost too much to take in. It was good to get home to all the things that make my life easier with twins, but it was tons of fun spending a whole week together as a family!

This is just a pit stop on our trip down. The girls got to sit up front and play with the radios and drive the truck and stay busy while Dad gases the truck up for the final stretch in our journey.

Putting up some shade. It was a team effort. We had camp set up in no time really and in no time the girls had already unpacked every single one of the toys we brought. The trailer floor was always covered with them.

Mazie and Grandma walking around checking out the new surroundings.

This was the first of many wagon rides!

Kayleb made them a giant crib out of the table bed. It worked great and the girls actually were a comfort to each other at night. I was nervous how they would do in the same bed, but it all worked out. There was however lots of playing instead of napping, but at night it was good.

We had to modify the trailer in a few ways to baby proof it. The crib was one and the door was another. Kayleb put up plexie glass and put a latch so the girls wouldn't fall out the door and on their face. They tested it out and made sure it held and it did. Great Job Dad!

This is how one of our walks ended and I was grateful that it did. They look so sweet when they are asleep!

Grandpa and Miah took a ride on the wheeler. Mazie didn't really like it and Miah really wasn't sure, but tried it a few times. She is more of the thrill seeker than Maze is.

We made a trip to Pine Lake to do some fishing and to go for a ride. The fishing was a little disappointing, but it was a change. I had to snap a pic of Kayleb feeding the girls because that just never happens. It didn't last long I ended up feeding them right after I took the picture. I can't even get a break. Kayleb is too much of a softy and lets the girls push him around and so they always end up in a mess. Oh well at least he tried.

Here is Teisha my fabulous cousin that was so gracious and pulled the girls around endlessly in the wagon. She is such a cutie! Thanks again Teish!

Here are the three stooges! These three by the end of Friday were beyond filthy. I wish I would have thought and snapped a pic before their bath that night. They main thing is they had fun!

We of course went to the parade down in town and got loaded up on candy, frisbees, balls, otterpops, and all kinds of stuff. The parade is always so much fun to watch. Crazy people!

Mazie decided to go out into the road and get some candy of her own. She had fun just being free and walking around. The firetrucks scared her though so she came running back when they came. She is getting so big. Cute little stinker!

Miah loves to clap and dance to the Lions Club band. Cute little stinker too!

This was on the way home. They were playing peek-a-boo with me using their blankets and I could never get a pic of them doing it at the same time. Front facing car seats are a blessing! Thanks to all who made the trip so much fun!!
