Christmas Day Fun!

Christmas was lots of fun with a couple of two year olds that were just beginning to understand. They were excited to set out some cookies and milk for Santa and of course some carrots for the reindeer, but after we set them out and were posing for a picture they decided they were hungry and grabbed the carrots and started chomping down on them. I said "Hey wait a minute what are the reindeer going to eat?" Miah said,"These carrots Mom." Pointing to the few carrots left on the stool. I just had to laugh at how stink'in cute these two are! We had a great Christmas and yes Santa found our house and we had a great relaxing morning. Poppy and Grandma Jean came over and had breakfast and played with us. It was fun to just spend the morning home and enjoy playing with the girls! After the relaxing morning we got ready to make the rounds. We went to Papa and Grandma Walters and it is always so much fun to play with all the cousins and Nel. After a few hours they started to get tired so we left and made a stop at Great Grandma and Grandpa Greats and then finished with dinner at Poppy and Grandma Jean's house. We had such a great Christmas spending time with family and enjoying our little family. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and it was so great to hear from a lot of you through cards and letters. We tried to teach the girls the true meaning of Christmas and if you ask Miah, "Why do we have Christmas?" she will say, "To remember Jesus." We are so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives and know that our Father in Heaven knows us and watches over us and is with us to guide us if we put our trust in him and he sent his only begotten son to set the perfect example for us and to suffer and to die for us so we may return home someday. He lives and loves us and we are so grateful for his presence in our lives. We hope you all feel him in your life as well. Merry Christmas!Carrot eaters! Poor reindeer had to split the leftovers! The exciting moment of coming down the stairs! It took them a minute when they got downstairs to realize that there was some toys for them. They once again got hung up on the cookies and milk stool. They couldn't believe they were gone and that Santa had eaten the cookies and drank all the milk! WOW! They are just cute little maids. Good thing Grandma Jean and Poppy got them some cleaning tools. I get lots of help cleaning now. They got an awesome tent maze from Papa and Grandma. They love it!!I love this pic of a very tired Mazie zoned in a whatever game Cole was playing. Sweet Cole just letting her lean on him and watch over his shoulder. Cute kiddos!
This is our attempt at a family photo. Too bad the video camera wasn't rolling, I'm sure that would have been some comical footage!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent in two places. Grandma and Grandpa C had everyone over and we spent it eating, laughing, and reflecting on our Savior's birth. We had great food and it was fun to see everyone. The most fun though was when we got to talk to Toddie! We ran from the party up to my moms to talk to him on the computer. He was able to see us and it was so great to hear his voice. He is doing so well and is such a great example to us. All the kids talked to him and I think he was blown away on how much they have all grown. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for everything. We had a great time! I didn't get any great pics I am really bad lately with the camera.

Christmas Parties!

We had lots of fun at our family Christmas Parties. We had two on the same night. At the Christensen's Party the girls had a blast playing with all the kids and getting to meet Santa and get a present from him. Mazie was excited to see him, but no way was she going to sit on his lap. You can't blame her though. Miah was all for it so she could get a present. After dinner and Santa we went to the Greenwood party for dessert and of course the famous snowball fight and some classic white elephant exchange. Scott made off with the best. I only got a picture of the first doozy he got. He got traded and picked the best white elephant of all time!! Jenny came with some winners. I didn't get any good pics of the girls we were all too busy throwing snowballs at each other. Thanks to all of our great family for great Christmas memories. Scott with his first prize which was swiped by Meg who was planning on scaring the primary kids into being quiet with the creepy puppet. Also doesn't he look snug in his pink snuggie?
Everybody was gearing up for the snowball fight. We all had our tins of snowballs. We only broke a few ornaments.

The girls were so excited to open their first present from Santa. Tinkerbell and a grasshopper. They loved it. So much fun!

This is as close as Mazie would get to Santa.

Miah never smiled really while she was on his lap, but was super brave especially because he had a present for her.

Nov.- Dec. Update

We have been busy lately and I have been so lame and haven't taken any pics. I forgot my camera at Thanksgiving too. Jenny, Terry(her dad), and I started Thanksgiving morning off with a freezing cold 5K. It was so cold, but we all made it and it felt good. It made us feel like we earned our slice of pie. We ate Thanksgiving at the Walters this year and it was great food and lots of fun! Kayleb and the boys in my family go to the Henry mnts every year after Thanksgiving and look at deer. They had a good time and saw some big deer and got to ride their wheelers. The girls on the other hand couldn't miss the craziest and greatest shopping day of the year. We started at midnight and kept going until about 10 or 11. Kayleb's parents where kind enough to take the girls at 4:30 in the morning and watch them until the shopping was done. It was crazy as usual and we had a new comer this year to break in. Breckon probably thought we were nuts but she fit right in with fighting her way through the crowds with her cart and we got some great deals and most of what we were after. We survived and had lots of fun together.

Lately we have been busy with getting ready for Christmas and helping plan our ward Christmas party. I will be glad when its over! I am in charge of the nativity program and it is all ready to go, but I will be glad when it is over. Oh yeah, I already said that. For family night we read the Christmas story and talked about why we have Christmas. Hopefully if you ask the girls why we have Christmas they will say, "to remember Jesus." After that we broke out the snowballs that my Aunt Sharon gave us last year and had a family snowball fight. We all had fun! Then Grandma Jean had given us a gingerbread house kit and we decorated that. The girls loved doing the Christmas house. I am grateful for my cute little family! They bring so much joy in my life. I am so blessed and am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ to guide and direct me in my life. My cute girls giving each other some hugs. A rare moment!
Mazie loves to dance and when she has any kind of dress it just makes it more fun.

Oh I love this picture of my Miah. She is packed up and ready to go. Where I'm not sure, but I want to go because where ever it is looks like it will be sunny and warm!

Here is our Christmas house. We had lots of fun making it!

It's Autumn Time!

The girls had a great time playing in the leaves this past week. They started chasing each other around with armfuls of leaves and were laughing at each other as they dumped it on their sisters head. I was enjoying watching them and got some cute pics of them just having a great time outside. We are sad that our days like this are limited. Winter can just skip us this year. We love to play outside!

Trick-Or-Treat!

Here are two of the cutest Garden Gnomes ever!!! They are ready for trick or treating! They had fun and thought it was cool that everyone had treats for them and it was so much fun to see them discover Halloween. They also liked getting their cheeks all rosie. They thought they were pretty cool! Cute girls!

Halloween Fun 2010!

Well Halloween time is here already and we have had so much fun! We carved a pumpkin which Mazie thinks to soo scarry! OOOOOO! They didn't want to touch the guts of the pumpkin. They had fun using the carving knives with Daddy. We had our Annual Walters Halloween Bash. Everyone was such good sports and dressed up and looked fabulous! We ate some great food! Kayleb cooked us some hamburgers and dogs and everyone brought something to share and it was great! We played minute-to -win-it games and they were lots of fun. Of course it rained on the day of our party so we played them in the garage. Not exactly what I wanted but it worked out good. Then we decorated some gingerbread haunted houses and they turned out cute. I didn't get any pics of the games because I was running them so I will post some pics when others share them with me. I was grateful for everyone helping and participating! Thanks everyone for another great Halloween party. Harry Potter (Tyler) and Dorothy (Katee) won the costume contest. Chad, Angie, Cole, and Addie won the minute to win it games! Thanks again everyone!Garden Gnomes is what we are if you couldn't tell. Thanks Denice for making the skirts and helping me with the rest. The Princess and the Frog. The Panton's Look Great! The Walters family look'in good!Joy Joy looked fantastic once again. I was pretty proud of the way they turned out!We decorated our haunted house for family night instead of at the party. The girls had fun getting messy and eating some candy. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Quick Update

This is just a quick update of all the happenings of the past few months. We have been busy around here. The girls have started going to a preschool/playgroup that some of us moms in the ward are doing. The girls love going to school and always have to wear their pack cack. They are just growing up so fast. They are really good when it is not my turn to teach. They do better without me and it frustrates me that they are little stinkers when it is at their house or when I am helping at someone else's house. It has been nice to have a break from them for a minute and go to the grocery store without them. Peaceful and dare I say almost enjoyable. Deer Camp this year was great weather and the girls had a riot with all of their cousins. Kayleb didn't get a deer, but had fun with his family and got a chance to ride the four-wheeler and relax. The dust was about 3inches of black powder in our camp and you will see by the pictures that baths were necessary every night. We have had a lot of firsts the past few months and have had lots of fun. I have posted a lot of pics because they are a great way to document what has been happening. The girls and I went to Thanksgiving Point and had a great time feeding the animals. Especially the ducks.

Oh boy we had the first flu bug hit my babies for the first time. They had never vomited until now. Poor things. Mazie got hit the worst, but they both took a few days to get back to their crazy selves. Just a couple of sicklies!

Grandma and Grandpa came over to help me do some freezer corn. They were great help and we were done in not time. Thanks for all your help. I think of you every time I get a bag out of the freezer.

We went to the State Fair with Chad, Angie, and kids and had so much fun looking at animals, riding rides, eating, and of course riding the ponies.

Miah is a pro rider and loved being such a big girl on her pony!

This was a first for Mazie. Mazie got on a pony for the first time and rode all by herself! She was scared until a few weeks before this day when she all of the sudden started riding her rocking horse and since has become quite the cowgirl. She calls herself "Jesse" when she is on her rocking horse and she will tell you she rode the pony all by herself. Such a big girl!

Here we are waiting for our turn on the ponies.

Cute kids!

Girls night out! The girls went to "The Lion King" @ the Capital Theatre and it was amazing. IT was so fun to spend the day with the girls and do something out of the ordinary.

For Family night the girls and I made cookies. They helped me mix them and then I let them spoon them on the cookie sheet. They had fun and it was fun to let them do something like that. They are too cute! Little Bakers!

First day of Preschool/Playgroup.

Great Grandma Great took the girls for a ride on her walker. They love to go for a ride and get a cookie from Grandma. They also love the Doodlie-Doos she sings to them. Love you Grandma!

What a filthy bunch of cuties!

Uni brow!

Miah got a ride on the wheeler with Daddy and loved it!
