Easter/Spring Break/Vacation

Well we have been busy around her the last several weeks. The girls have had lots of fun playing outside on the days that are nice and I enjoy getting out with them too. Easter weekend was full of egg hunts which they loved once they caught the vision that eggs meant candy! Miah got pretty serious about it and Mazie had her daddy helping her so she got double the rewards! The girls also looked extremely cute in their Easter dresses this year!Spring Break was a little on the cold side, but one of the days we went with Grandma Jeano, Jenny, Ryder, and Jaxon to the Farm at Thanksgiving Point and despite the wind it was fun. The girls favorite animal was the ducks. I think because they were a safe distance away from them and they got to feed them without being scared they would touch them. Yes my girls are afraid of animals. They love them but they are very afraid! I am working on getting rid of that fear. They had fun on the wagon and especially loved the Tractor that pulled us. I can't believe that Spring Break is over...bummer!Vacation to sunny St. George! It was great fun to take the girls down south and play in the sun and the water. Yes they are afraid of water too. Hopefully it is just a phase or something. Miah warmed up to the idea fast and liked being pulled around in her floatation device. Mazie just wanted to hold onto you for dear life, but also wanted you to pull her floatation device around even if she wouldn't get in it. Swim class for sure this year again. We have forgotten all we did last year. We also played on the playground they had at our hotel and they had a blast climbing and sliding. I got a little bit of a sunburn and it feels sooo good! I could have stayed and soaked in the sun a few more days, but the girls were so ready to come home and play in their new sandbox Kayleb built for them and sleep in their own bed and I was with them on that. Nothing beats your own bed! We also took them to see the Temple and the visitors center they have there. The St. George Temple is so gorgeous in the red setting down there. The girls had a good time looking at pictures of Jesus and smelling the pretty flowers on the grounds. We had lots of fun on our vacation and now we can relax for a few days at home together as a family and then back to the real world I guess. Thanks Kayleb for taking the time to be with us!!Kick'in it in the hotel room after a long day! This is as close as Mazie really wanted to get to her ladybug floaty. She looked so cute in her swimsuit though!Bathing beauty for sure! Such a cutie in her lily pad! This appears to be two reverent children at the Temple visitors center. Do not be fooled by these prayerful children! Stink'in cute!!!

Happy Birthday Kayleb!!

Happy Birthday Kayleb! I am so grateful to have such a great husband! He is a great dad and also my best friend! I know I am a day late with this post, but just needed to say Happy Birthday to this Old man! We love you Kayleb!!I put this picture in for a laugh. This is him right before they took me in to deliver the girls. Just makes me laugh! He is such a great dad from day one!

Good thing he has giant feet so the girls always have a seat.
We love you Kayleb!!

Spring!

I am so glad Spring is finally getting here. I am so ready for the warm weather. Miah and Mazie are definitely ready too! They are growing so fast. In the last few weeks I swear they have changed so much in the way they look and in the way they behave. They are still speaking their own language, but they are starting to put some English in there to help me out. Kayleb can't understand them like I can and I act as their translator when he is home. We have had lots of fun with the semi-warm weather. Every morning Mazie goes to the patio door and says, "Cold? Side?" and looks at me waiting for me to tell her if she is going to be able to play outside that day. They love getting down and dirty. They don't hesitate to go digg'in in the dirt. Kayleb has complained that they dig in all the bald spots on the lawn he has been trying to grow grass, so I said build them a sandbox. We got the lumber last week so Dad get to work! We had a great time with Kayden, Addie, and Cole for a few days while their parents were out of town. The girls love their cousins. Ryder even came one of the days and made it even better! For a few weeks out of the past month we have been sick. The girls got colds, bronchitis, and ear infections twice and we are praying we are done with that yucky stuff. Kayleb and I have also had our round of colds and are happy to be through with it! There has been so much of it going around. Anyway, I have been a slacker in blogging so I thought I would do a catch-up post of some random things we have done over the last few months. Lots of pictures. We don't have shovels so I got our the kitchen spoons for them and they have a ball!
We have done a lot of coloring on the indoor days of spring!

We did make it to the park and the girls had lots of fun sliding down the slide. We were the only ones with coats and hats on. One warmish day and all the kids are in shorts and sandals.

Miah liked to go down the slide laying down. Cute stinker!

Mazie absolutely loves her cousins Kayden and Cole. Kayden is so good to hold them and help them whenever. Mazie has got quite the look in this picture. They were just lounging watching Mickey Mouse or some cartoon.

We got camping chairs for the girls that are just their size. They love them!

Here is the whole crew at lunch and everyone is smiling. It's a Christmas miracle!

I love this face!

I love this face too!

Sweet Grandpa Great!

Grandpa Walters passed away today. He was truly one of the greatest examples of Christ that I have ever met. He would pray for all of his family by name daily and we truly were blessed not because we deserved it but because he did. He was always so in tune with the Spirit of the Lord and we were able to be taught great simple lessons by him that will be with us throughout our life. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that we will see him again. We love you Grandpa and will miss you so much!

A Wonderful December!

I can't believe that the holidays are already over and everything is back to the same old. I hate it when everyone goes back to work and it is all over. I have been thinking about this past year and sometimes wondering how I made it through and then knowing I did not do it on my own. Mine and Kayleb's families have helped us so much and I am very grateful for all the love and support they give. I know that 2009 was a good year for us and it was lots of fun watching my two girlies just grow up. A day doesn't go by without calling on my Savior Jesus Christ to help me in some way. I am grateful for the blessings prayer brings into my life! Miah and Mazie are now 18 months old and I can hardly believe it! They will start nursery this month and they have just grown up so much. They are still talking in some unknown language, but I am starting to pick out words and can understand some. Christmas was a very special one this year and the girls had so much fun. Hopefully I can recap the month for you it has gone by too fast! I am looking forward to a new year and the chance to start fresh on goals and hopefully better myself and my family this coming year! I hope all of you had a great holiday season and a Happy New Year.

The Christensen Family Party
The Christensen Family Christmas party was fun! The girls had so much fun running around being managed by all of their cousins that look after them so well! I don't know what this thing is that they are playing on, but it looks dangerous. Luckily nobody got hurt.
Miah had fun holding her cutie cousin Lyndsee. She loved giving her hugs and playing with her toys. What cute girls! Mazie was hanging out with the older cousins and having so much fun. She wanted to sit in Santa's chair and then all the cousins gathered around her like they were waiting for a picture. What a good looking group they are!
As soon as the mute Santa came in Miah freaked out!! I say mute because he was not very energetic and we could barely hear him and we didn't even get a "Ho Ho Ho". Anyway none the less Miah hated him. She didn't even want to look at him. It was pretty funny actually.

Mazie did very well I thought. She doesn't look too happy, but she didn't cry or anything. Such a big girl!
Miah had lots of fun after we put the tables up running around and playing.

The Greenwood Family Party

The Greenwood Family Christmas party was a blast. Dale and Sharon hosted all of us and we had yummy soups, great company, and what should be a new family tradition an indoor snowball fight that was so much fun. Sharon had made probably around a hundred or more felt snowballs and gave each of us a tin with six. Then the fight began. We probably hurled snowballs for about 10-15 minutes and nobody could stop laughing or throwing. It was awesome! When we finally calmed down which was hard to get us to do after that we exchanged gifts and all the kids got a toy laser gun that makes some really annoying sounds. Yes the girls have their first gun at 18 mon. Grandma Jeano gave them to all the kids and then the kids were sent away while we did our white elephant game. The whole party was great fun! Thanks Dale and Sharon!
Mazie being cute while me and Grandma Jeano where making soup for the party.

The Walters Family Party

Miah and Mazie were chosen to be angels in the Nativity this year at the Walters party. They were the wondering angels. They did look so cute in their get up. Miah didn't like it as much as Mazie did, but it was sure fun to watch.Sweet angel Mazie!

Sweet angel Miah throwing a fit. We thought that maybe some horns and a pitch fork might better suit her that night. Haha!

Christmas Eve Night

These little cuties are ready to go to bed in some new jammies and see if Santa comes!

Of course he did! They were so much fun. I was more excited than anyone I think and the morning was fun. They just couldn't understand why they had to leave their new toys and go visiting. They were so cute!

Once we got to Grandma and Grandpa Walters they got over it as soon as they opened these darling skirts. They both wanted them on.

All the girls got one so we tried to take a pic of all of them. This is as good as it gets. Such gorgeous girls! After all the excitement these two girls were worn out and needed a nap! Mazie claimed grandma's new chair and Miah was just ready for a nap. After some rest we went to Grandma and Grandpa Jeano's house where we got to talk to my brother Toddie who is on his mission. We got to see him via webcam and it was so good to see him. He is doing well and even though we only had a few minutes to talk to him it was such a blessing to see and hear him! We love you Toddie! The girls then got to open some presents from Grandpa and Grandma and Ryder. It was so fun to watch them ooo and aaahh about it all. My brother Lane was feeling the Christmas spirit with his reindeer headband. What a geek!
We can't forget little Jaxon G. Carlton born Dec. 22nd. He is such a cutie. I haven't got to hold him yet because I have had a cold and it is killing me. I will hold him soon! He was 7lbs 4oz I think and 19 inches long. He is a keeper as Grandma Greenwood would say.
